The British Council and BFI NETWORK South West invite you to a friendly gathering with fellow filmmakers and industry delegates at Encounters. Come and chat with our teams about funding and creative support at a local level, as well as how to build visibility and connections for you and your work internationally.
As the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations, British Council celebrates innovation, diversity, creativity and excellence of UK screen culture around the world and foster opportunities for international collaboration. Discover the latest news on support for international showcasing and professional development through the Travel Grant Fund (which is supported by BFI National Lottery Funding, in partnership with BFI NETWORK and BFI International).
BFI NETWORK collaborates with film organisations and leading cultural venues across the UK to provide short film and early feature development funding, industry-backed professional development and networking support to producers, writers and directors. Our team, based at Watershed in Bristol, are proud to nurture emerging filmmakers across the South West.
